Established in February 1994, Hangzhou Hi-tech Industry Imp. & Exp. Corp. is a state-run comprehensive enterprise approved by MOFTEC (Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation) with import and export rights of its own. In May, 2002, the enterprise was restructured into a limited liability entity with state-own shares taking up 70% of the total.
